The movie is original in the way the women don’t become enemies but work together to help Kate process the situation and take revenge on the husband. It is mostly a movie showing the growing bound between Kate and Carly, rather than focusing on the revenge they could take. The movie has a slow start, and I just wished Minaj had more screen time!

After the slow start the movie had some funny bits between Carly and Kate that will definitely make you laugh. Amber was played well by Upton; I just questioned her role and purpose in this movie. They could do so much more with her role, rather than only make her ‘the boobs’ of the movie. Writing the story, they could have made Minaj’s role bigger in support of Carly and Kate and still have the tag: ‘lawyer, wife and boobs' working together to take revenge on the husband.

Diaz played her character well as the lawyer who thinks logical, with a slight bit of emotion towards the fellow characters. Mann portrays the wife a bit too disgustingly well with the overcommunication, hygiene choices and ‘I am nothing without my husband’ act. Upton was there to take ‘the group average high’. It worked yet the writers could have done something else with her role. Made here the villain mistress or something to spice it up. I mean we know Diaz from Charlie’s Angels; the group average was already high.

This is a movie for a girl’s night, with a good laugh between Diaz and Mann throughout the movie. The movie is more focused on the bonding between the girls rather than putting the focus on taking revenge on the husband. That part could also have been written more. Like how can you take original revenge on your cheating husband and boyfriend? The movie also stars Taylor Kinney as Phil the brother of Kate and Don Johnson as Frank Whitten the father of Carly.

Is it girls’ night worthy? Yes it is! A light comedy focussing on girls bounding and standing stronger together. A one-time watch.
